Resume Data: You provide resume content, work history, skills, and other professional information to use our tailoring service. This data is stored in your account and is never shared.
Job Descriptions: Job postings you submit (via text or URL) are processed to generate tailored materials. We may cache scraped job content temporarily to improve performance.
Usage Data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to maintain and improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the resume tailoring service
- To generate personalized resumes, cover letters, and application emails
- To manage your account and process billing
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing receipts)
- To improve service quality and fix bugs
We do not use your resume data or personal information to train AI models. Your content is processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate your requested output and is not retained by those providers for training purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secured servers with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We implement access controls, regular security audits, and secure coding practices to protect your information.
Authentication tokens are stored as HTTP-only, secure cookies. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and are never stored in plaintext.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following categories of third-party services:
- AI Processing: Anthropic (Claude) for resume tailoring and content generation. Data sent to Anthropic is governed by their API terms and is not used for model training.
- Payment Processing: Stripe handles all payment information. We never store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Hosting: Our application is hosted on cloud infrastructure with SOC 2-compliant providers.
4a. SMS / Mobile Communications
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we only use strictly necessary cookies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you

- Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove all personal data and resume content within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. SMS / Text Messaging
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Cleared for Offer. We may send messages related to your account activity, application status updates, service announcements, and support communications.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity and preferences.
- Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts.

Opting out of SMS messages does not affect your ability to use the Cleared for Offer service or receive email communications related to your account.
